Kickass 4th of July laughter
Kickass, the doorstop dog, suggests that if you happened to hear the NPR satirical musical this morning, your 4th of July started with an appropriate celebratory bang.
When a publicly sponsored broadcast network can use its outstanding talent to call attention to the current absurdities in “high” places to the degree that a listener is moved to laughter, all is not lost.
So until the last spark of fireworks dies in tonight’s darkness, the mood is set to smile and enjoy the day with family and friends, and laugh—goddammit, laugh!
