Roadkill in Wisconsin most often means a dead deer, and there is a long standing dispute among agencies and politicians about who is going to pick up the bodies. There are also provisions in Wis. regs for a driver to take home the deer that he or she has smashed into.
That Tuesday roadkill in Alabama was no deer, and there will not likely be a lot of competition to see who retrieves the remains. Who wants a dead skunk!
