Kickass and covid poem

 

Kickass, the doorstop dog, despite heroic efforts, was unable to prevent the keeper from wasting valuable nap time composing what he claims is poetry.  It isn’t, of course, but then he—the keeper is overdue for his rabies shot.

 

“You decline vaccines and refuse a mask,

So your head must be up your ‘ask.’

We saw you last at the insurrection,

The ultimate ED with Trump’s nonerection.

Of Covid, you say have no fear,

It’s best fought with a shot and a beer.

That only works if you believe the big lie,

Which doesn’t make you too dumb to die.

Poetry is written by fools like me,

Abject ignorance comes from thee.”
