Kickass and false smells

Kickass, the doorstop dog, passes on the story of the narcissistic dog that decided not to sniff the obvious territorial sign posts in his life because he considered them to be producing “false smells” and he then went about trying to convince all of the other dogs that this was the case.  The other dogs, however, were skeptical and many continued to sniff the old sign posts and were reassured by the smells they produced.  One day the narcissistic dog did not pause to sniff an old signpost at the end of the driveway but instead walked out into the street and was hit by a truck that was delivering copies of the New York Times and the Washington Post.  The narcissistic dog suffered severe brain injuries and spent the rest of his life in an assisted living kennel trying to learn how to fetch. A spokesdog for all of the other dogs said, “A dog’s nose knows.”  (Kickass will be taking the rest of the day off)
