Kickass and Hurricane Dora

Kickass, the doorstop dog, says some of you may know of our family’s loss last week with the death of Dora, Mike’s wife and Sarah’s mother.  Dora was a sweet, smiling woman who loved life as much as anyone could and did not want to leave it.

The moment of Dora’s departure was marked by a thunder and lightning storm that lingered in the night over her house and her survivors like the tumultuous climax of a heart-shattering drama.

And in the groping way of dealing with loss and the mystery of life and death, those who knew and loved Dora, now have Hurricane Dora which has eased to become Tropical Storm Dora in the vicinity of Puerta Vallarta.

We will all make of that what we will in our own way. “Hasta  la vista, Dora.”
