Kickass

Kickass and the artists

Kickass, the doorstop dog, was there in spirit only when Phyllis and the keeper attended an art show and opening reception at the Crossroads Coffeehouse in Cross Plains Friday where a piece of Phyllis’s work sold.  There is something of reassurance in the species when creative people get together to compare their efforts at replicating and interpreting the world.  The local artists displayed on the walls of Mary Devitt’s Coffeehouse were typically talented people who gathered to admire each other’s efforts and to bravely put their work out there for the world to see.  Phyllis is a photo artist who uses various techniques to give her photos striking artistic attributes.  Her work has upgraded the keeper’s premises far above the dog-house status he once lived with.  Kickass is suggesting that the keeper join the artists with his technique of creative napping.
