Kickass and the Dotard
Kickass, the doorstop dog, says the keeper loves to learn new words and is impressed with the N. Korean description of Trump as a “Dotard,” which the keeper’s big old Websters with the 1934 copyright defines not only as a “foolish or imbecile person especially one whose mind is impaired by age,” but also as “The harbor seal,” or “A tree stump that has lost its branches from rot.”
Quite frankly, Kickass is partial to the “tree stump” definition as it fits with his feelings for and practical use of trees.
The keeper, meanwhile, seems a bit sensitive about the “impairment by age” phase, and says that “dotard” backwards is “dratod” which he claims is a word describing the Trump presidency.
