Kickass and the full moon
Kickass, the doorstop dog, joined the keeper in watching the Beaver full moon set over Mazomanie, and noted that at its fullest—8;34 a.m. , it will be long gone, taking with it all the signs and omens and readings that fill the internet to overflowing. In a quick look at some of it, the keeper saw phrases like “wisdom of simplicity” and “collect more info before beginning a new project” and “enjoy love and light.” And then one of the full-moon soothsayers said something about “appliances breaking down,” which really got the keeper’s attention and more or less cancelled out his enjoyment of the full-moon moment. So at 8:34 a.m. with the moon down, the keeper put a load of laundry into the washer that has been making a very strange noise for months, and then he went to find Phyllis to enjoy some “love and light.”
