Kickass as old as a Model A Ford

Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that the keeper’s birthday today marks him as old as a Model A Ford, but it would not be a good idea for him to simply haunt old car shows.  Despite the somber identity of 9//11, it is better for him and all others in his age group to stay out there on the highway of life, keeping up with traffic and making rude gestures to any would be “traffic cops.”

This is particularly true since advance reader copies go out today for “Margaret’s War,” the novel the keeper has been working on in some form since the end of WW II.  (Publication about Nov. 1.)

Then there is the matter of a new somebody possibly coming into his life and making him feel like a Lamborghini.  He is so damn lucky, even the weather with this perfect September day has turned in his favor.
