Kickass best Saturday

Kickass, the doorstop dog, says it is shaping up to be one of those autumn Saturdays that make you want to bronze its moments so they last forever.

Previous Saturdays of its ilk emerge from similar preservation and the keeper says he is a boy again, lithe, limber and full of the puppy energy that chewed up the long ago moments so thoroughly he can still taste them.  They were the sweet cake of life, gobbled down yet savored.

But as good as those old Saturdays were, the keeper says this one will be better because it is here and so is he.
