Kickass cold religion

Kickass. The doorstop dog, says the extreme winter weather seems to be doing a lot to advance the cause of religion as he hears people—including his keeper, step out into the twenty below zero wind-chill and immediately shout the name of the Almighty in various versions and with great gusto.  On the other hand, what he is hearing may be like a dog yelping when its tail is caught in the car door.  It is puzzling, however, that his keeper looked at the calendar and said those same reverential words again, very forcefully and not in a reverential tone.
