Kickass eats orioles’ oranges

Kickass, the doorstop dog, notes that the oriole show at the feeder has ended like a hit Broadway show leaving town and now the keeper and his fellow camera nuts are left to sort through this year’s images, which, along with the grosbeak casting, are showstoppers.

As a rank beginner, the keeper was told that a good bird photo should be in a natural setting, which the critic friend implied would not include two orange halves hanging on an empty suet holder.

The camera is still on the tripod in case the orioles come back and the keeper is prepared to take his place at the end of the photographer line as the other entries come in.  In the meantime he is eating oranges.
