Kickass fate of the goats

Kickass, the doorstop dog, aware of how busy you all are, tries his best to monitor activity in the corners you may not get to, such as the Craig’s List ad under “farm and garden” that included a photo of two goats with the headline, “Goat for meat or pet.”

The stark choices offered to a prospective goat buyer somehow speak to many of the things going on around us every day: “Eat it or love it.”  It is where the tribal divisiveness is spawned and nurtured.

Kickass comes off comforted by the fact that the goat, in its blissful ignorance, has no idea that is headed for a damned significant fork in the road.  Neither do any of us, which, in a sense, makes goats of us all.
