Kickass fun at the dentist

Kickass, the doorstop dog, says the keeper has a dental appointment tomorrow to get his teeth cleaned and to check on why one of them seems to be acting up.

“Long in the tooth” was once a meaningless phrase to describe something (someone) old: Now it is a view of the keeper’s mouth, which he should keep shut lest his remaining molars fall over with the next evening zephyr.

Once the keeper wrote a newspaper column that was critical of cheerful music in his dentist’s office since there was nothing cheerful about being there.  The state dental association took offense, and an apology followed on the op-ed page: “I am sorry.  It is fun to go to the dentist.”

It was the only time I can remember participating in fake news!
