Kickass goldfinches in the snow

Kickass, the doorstop dog, observing the keeper’s usual morning stumble, wonders how many others will be taking photos of goldfinches on snow-covered bird feeders, perhaps even including a cardinal, on the heels of the April blizzard?

The keeper has one in the works, but considering his tech challenges, he will be waiting for the professional shots of other photographers who make his attempts look like Grandma with her box Kodak.

The circumstance may have some genetic basis, since the keeper reports that his dear old mother was always anxious to get snapshots for birthday and family gatherings but developed the serious handicap of framing her subjects with their heads cut off.  Over the years Mom tended to over compensate and the family albums are full of snapshots showing a lot more sky than necessary.
