Kickass hot weather and George Carlin
Kickass, the doorstop dog, is programmed from somewhere in his DNA to deal with hot weather by digging a hole in the cool dirt under the porch and then lying in it until he gets hungry.
Kickass considers the current unseasonable hot spell as practice for summer, and observes that the keeper does a similar thing by turning on the AC, collapsing in his chair and reading George Carlin’s “When Will Jesus Bring The Pork Chops?”
The book functions more or less as a bible for the keeper and he just read on page156: “I have no regrets in life. Although I am kind of sorry I never got to beat a man to death while wearing a tuxedo.” The keeper says he has someone in mind.
