Kickass impeaches the ridge cat
Kickass, the doorstop dog, endorses the keeper’s dirty-window-bird-protection plan whereby the house windows are washed only by the rain and thus do not present a shiny, reflective surface for birds to fly into with fatal results. A recent study estimates that North America has lost 3 billion birds since 1970, largely due to disappearing habitat and widespread use of pesticides. It was also estimated that wandering house cats kill from 1-4 billion birds each year, and some 600 million die from colliding with windows. By allowing only natural window washing, the keeper feels he is making a genuine contribution to bird welfare. However this do-nothing nature policy breaks down as the keeper continues to tolerate the presence of the feral ridge cat. Obviously the cat is a negative and needs to be removed. Impeached, maybe.
