Kickass liberal loud-mouth

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper is fresh off an experience where opposing political views did not interfere with bonding with loved ones, and he is imbued with a renewed sense of acceptance of those who do not prescribe to his loud-mouthed liberalism.  So the keeper is a liberal.  And so his brother Orville is not. They are still brothers, and they had a great time visiting with each other over the past weekend.  They did settle one thing, however: Orville retired as an  Army Lt. Colonel and the keeper was only an Army NCO, and it was agreed between the two of them that the keeper would no longer have to salute Orv and address him as “Sir” at family gatherings.
