Kickass makes autumn move

Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that in this season of great changes–migration and hibernation and falling leaves and wholesale harvesting, the keeper and Phyllis are joining in the autumn upheaval by moving from one independent living facility to another for reasons as mysterious as the monarch butterflies deciding to head for Mexico.

The keeper views the move as a combination migration/hibernation in which he and Phyllis migrate a mile or so in a northerly direction and hibernate at Vista West until it is fit for them to emerge next spring.

From their 5th floor windows there is a view of Wisconsin’s Capital–at such a great distance that the Capital’s Dome resembles a pimple in need of immediate attention–which will give the keeper something to ponder as he and Phyllis hold hands and ride their recliners through the relentless blizzard of time.
