Kickass the Doorstop Dog

Kickass, the doorstop dog, ever anxious to do good, and assuming that most sane people missed it, would offer the following review of this morning’s moon set: INCREDIBLE! SENSATIONAL!  FIVE STARS!  Starting about 6 a.m. it was up off the western horizon like the greatest orange ball ever, fresh from the only game that matters.  It hung there seemingly defying such mundane things as planetary rotation, conflicting gravities and the speed of light.  It did not really sink.  Instead it defined grace as it moved closer and closer to the dark horizon.  Then it touched the Wisconsin River valley bluffs and nestled down, like something well fed and ready for bed.  Its exit was magnificent and melancholic, and then it was gone.  And whatever happens during this day will be trivial and nonsensical compared to the moon set of Dec. 13, 2016
