Kickass morel tax return

Kickass, the doorstop dog, says the oak leaves are almost as big as a squirrel’s ear which means that morel mushrooms should be popping up out on the wooded hills and valleys.  Kickass is moved to poetic observation:

As we roam the backwoods places

In quest of wrinkled morel faces.

Amid Nature’s annual detritus

Items of man’s littering greet us.

But do not these odd things spurn
