Kickass music to live (and die) by
Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper was cruising the beautiful Driftless hills of southwest Wisconsin, listening to the Richland Center radio station play really old music from the 50’s, and trying to ignore the commercial subject matter of extended care facilities and funeral homes, when “100.9” simply went too far by playing an instrumental version of the “Too Fat Polka.”
The keeper has developed a certain sensitivity about his weight after having won the family Thanksgiving baby-bump contest, beating out three beautiful granddaughters-in-law in an objective photo contest.
But the day ended well with a colorful sunset, some jazz from another radio station and the starving keeper headed for a dinner cooked by a granddaughter (Sarah) whose stomach is flatter than a table leaf.
