Kickass Norway by bicycle
Kickass, the doorstop dog, says the keeper’s great grandpa rode a sailing ship to get to the US and became a Wisconsin farmer where he donated land for the community school; and his son Henry—the keeper’s grandfather, ended up marrying one of the teachers.
The Helgeland family and descendents—including the keeper, have lived comfortable and productive lives in the US, and the keeper likes to tell of his grandfather Henry riding a bicycle from Madison 250 miles to Barron before there were any hard surface roads, maybe just to see the teacher he later married.
Now the keeper is thinking maybe he should take the blood line back to Norway in the interests of preserving clan sanity. In fact it is looking like such a good idea that if Norway will have him he is willing to try to get there by bicycle.
