Kickass plays baseball
Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the keeper, in an effort to escape the cold , damp Wisconsin weather will be going to a baseball game today where he will be one of four ancient mariners traveling to Miller Park to sit in the doomed facility and watch young men stand around most of the time, but occasionally throw a baseball about 100 miles an hour to make a double play or pick off a base runner. Those few seconds of outstanding action will serve to make the point that the keeper’s baseball days were over before they started, and he will be forced to comfort himself with the thought that at least he knows enough to come in out of the rain. His game, these days, tends to be Scrabble, where he is regularly trounced by Phyllis, but at least it is played indoors, which is important in Wisconsin.
