Kickass soft day fishing

Kickass, the doorstop dog, does not pretend to know the factors that go into setting the moods and mind-sets of humans, particularly those of the keeper who announced this morning that it was a “soft day” as they might say in Ireland, and it put him in the mood to go fishing.

Well, what doesn’t put him such a fishing mood!  He who has the audacity to make fun of golfers and show dogs seems to think there is some mysterious redeeming virtue in fishing, perhaps related to the biological necessity to eat.

This puts the keeper at odds with the catch-and-release fishing crowd, which he accuses of playing at death for entertainment purposes.  What really casts some doubt on the keeper’s catch-and-eat position is that he catches damn few fish, even on soft days.
