Kickass thanks for being older

Kickass, the doorstop dog, says the keeper returned from Kim’s family Thanksgiving gathering in a state of euphoria after discovering that another guest—Jess, was older than he was—only by a matter of months; but the two of them, having similar rural backgrounds, could reminisce about such things as steam engines pulling threshing machines and milking cows by hand.

It was a welcome respite for someone in the keeper’s age group who most often listens to the tech-savvy youngsters and wonders just what the hell they are talking about.

While Jess and the keeper were discussing “shocking” corn and “silo filling,” one of those techies fixed the keeper’s “smart” phone, which keeps slipping out of gear when he tries to double-clutch it.  It was a great Thanksgiving.
