Kickass time tracks

Kickass, the doorstop dog, says his keeper is so old the devices used by him to keep track of time are wearing out.  First it was a very old Timex wrist watch that has gone through more batteries than a Boy Scout flashlight and has been rebanded  more often than a hot Rolex.  So it finally stopped, and its assumed end was reversed when yet one more fresh battery put it back in service.

Then the big kitchen wall clock with the giant hands and the tiny motor refused to do its job even when provided with a new battery.  It was, apparently, simply worn out.  In the interests of renewal and transplants and such, a replacement motor was installed and the big, friendly hands are once again back in service.

There is no grand point here, other than to emphasize that the older you get the sweeter it is to keep close track of time so you can squeeze the most out of every damn second.
