Kickass weather over politics
Kickass. the doorstop dog, along with the keeper, is entertained at the moment by the approach of a thunderstorm skimming over the Wisconsin River bluffs, then slanting off to the north and prompting a robin to sing loud enough to be heard through the walls and windows.
It all moves on Robert Frost’s “cat feet.” And then it is gone in clouds of gray dust, and the brown, bare landscape sprawls beneath the overcast like cheap, old carpeting.
The meteorological show distracted the keeper from plans to make some inane comment about the inane political scene, which was a divisional development that Kickass cheered and recommends for everyone as the optimistic robin belts it out on this Friday the 13th.
