Kikass and river birthday party
Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports that the family did a bang-up job with a pre birthday celebration for the keeper’s 93rd birthday which occurs 9/11/31. Hosted by Rick and Becky and Mike at their river side digs, the event featured limitless stories from the keeper’s four sons about their growing-up escapades on Madison’s west side during the hippie days. What a sweet and frenzied time that was and how great it was to hear the boys’ laughter as they recalled it.
A surprise party guest was “Woody” in the form of Kyle fresh from the Mazomanie Western Day parade and impressing Phyllis with his youth and vigor more than seemed appropriate to the keeper.
It was a great day, marking a birthday the keeper never expected but appreciates and he serves notice that he is shooting for100 when we will all “gather at the river” again.
