Kickass and Republican Party
Kickass, the doorstop dog, reports the keeper and Phyllis in Ripon for a Phyllis family reunion that went off without a hitch—no fistfights or political shouting.
Following enjoyable family affairs, the keeper and Phyllis struggled with tech navigation in trying to find the historic Ripon “Little Red Schoolhouse” which was the site of the Republican party’s origin as it formed to oppose slavery back in the pre-Lincoln days.
Finding the museum and the site of the first Republican party turned out to be almost as challenging as finding any sign of the current Republican party. A docent reported the “Little Red School House” has been moved six times to various Ripon locations and Phyllis’s navigation gear was doing her wrong.
Finally, however, there was the museum in all its historic glory, citing the accomplishments of the Republicans down through the decades.
The museum does not deal with the recent circumstances during which the Republican party has totally disappeared, except for that cult contingent on duty to flush the plumbing after use by a digestively challenged POTUS.
Maybe Phyllis’s next family reunion will be in Green Bay where historical significance will be all about a game.
